Sun Kil Moon plays the National Concert Hall this August as part of the This Must Be The Place series.
Mark Kozelek aka Sun Kil Moon and his band perform songs from latest album, Benji, alongside material from his eleven-year career including his 2003 debut, Ghosts of the Great Highway.
Released in February 2014 to widespread critical acclaim, Benji has already been heralded as one of the top 10 albums of the decade. It is an intricate album about life, death, love and humanity, laced with tragedy.
Kozelek has been performing under the Sun Kil Moon moniker since 2002, following the split of his previous band, Red House Painters. He uses his songwriting to blend the autobiographical with the universal; all of his songs are accounts of events that have effected Kozelek and almost all of them feature death.
